The basic requirements to start a game of bingo are a set of bingo cards, plenty of bingo markers and the bingo cage which holds the numbered balls.
As children in school, most of us have used the plastic reusable type bingo cards, as a matter of fact you will still find several social bingo games still continuing to offer these types of bingo cards; they are still quite famous at events such as baby showers, or church events, or other charity functions. Usually on an average it is observed that players at a bingo hall however do not so much use actual bingo cards at all. Most land based bingo halls use a packet of paper, which are glued together at the top and are referred to as a packet.
Each piece of paper in a bingo packet has several mini ‘bingo cards’ in it. During each game, the entire page is played, hence, you are not just spreading one bingo card, but in actuality you’re playing 6 or so bingo games at a time.
Online bingo sites also utilize the same version of bingo cards as you expect to get in a live bingo hall except for the daubing which is obviously done electronically and even automatically in case you do wish.
Electronic Bingo Cards
Another option for bingo cards is the electronic bingo card. The traveler machine is a famous electronic bingo card option. If you use an electronic bingo card machine, the bingo caller loudly declares the number and then your numbers are usually daubed for you as you punch them in. This is even simpler when online. You don’t need to do anything but just watch the show if you don’t want to anything.
The online bingo hall’s caller (usually a virtual personality) calls out your bingo numbers and then they are automatically daubed for you on your bingo card, and when you make a bingo, it is automatically called out for you too.
If you wish you can even opt to call your own bingos and/or mark your own bingo cards online.
Whichever options as mentioned above you wish to use, bingo cards will still appear the same. Across the top in boxes, every bingo card has the word BINGO written, one letter in each box. Then each bingo card is randomly assigned bingo numbers.
The numbers for ‘B’ will range form 1-15 when playing American bingo, the numbers for ‘I’ shall range from 16-30, for ‘ N’ range shall be from 31-45; the numbers for ‘G’ shall range from 46-60 and the numbers for ‘0’ shall range from 60 to the last number, 75. The bingo card is split into rows, with five numbers from each column (B.I.N.G.O.) which are randomly placed in boxes on the card.
